Throwing & Hitting Video Review Strength & Mobility Assessment One-on-One with Dr. Max

What It Is

A Practical Baseball & Softball Assessment for the Body Behind the Mechanics

This 60-minute baseball and softball performance analysis combines throwing or hitting video review with movement, strength, and mobility testing. The goal is to identify the physical factors that may be affecting throwing mechanics, hitting rotation, arm care, recovery, or overall performance.

This is not a pitching lesson or hitting lesson, and it is not designed to replace a team or private coach. Coaches work on baseball and softball skill. Dr. Max evaluates the athlete’s shoulder, thoracic spine, hips, trunk, strength, mobility, control, workload, and movement capacity, then connects those findings to what is seen during the throw or swing.

Who You Work With

One-on-One with Dr. Maxwell Warren, DC

Your baseball and softball analysis is performed by Dr. Maxwell Warren, DC, a sports rehab-focused chiropractor and former collegiate baseball player at Elite Performance Institute with a background in exercise science, strength training, and movement-based care.

Dr. Max combines firsthand baseball experience with a sports rehab perspective to evaluate how throwing mechanics, hitting mechanics, mobility, strength, workload, and recovery fit together. His goal is to help athletes and parents understand the biggest priorities and leave with practical next steps.

This analysis is especially useful for pitchers, position players, and softball athletes who want more than generic arm care, random band exercises, or vague advice to “stretch more.” The session is built around the athlete’s position, goals, symptoms, injury history, training demands, and movement profile.

How It Is Different

Not a Pitching Lesson. Not a Hitting Lesson. A Physical Performance Assessment.

Dr Maxwell Warren assessing lower body strength and mobility for a baseball and softball athlete

Lower-body strength, hip mobility, trunk control, and single-leg stability all play a role in how athletes throw, swing, rotate, and decelerate.

Many athletes are given mechanical cues, but a movement change can be difficult to make when mobility, strength, control, or physical capacity is part of the limitation. This analysis is designed to help identify that piece of the puzzle.

Dr. Max looks at how the athlete moves outside of the swing or throw and compares those findings with what is seen on video. That helps determine whether the biggest priorities are mobility, strength, trunk control, lower-body stability, arm care, workload management, or a combination of factors.

The result is a more practical plan for the athlete, parent, and coach to understand. If throwing soreness or arm-care concerns are the main issue, you can also learn more about our baseball arm care and throwing athlete shoulder pain services.
