Appointments + First Visit

Appointments and What to Expect

What is the first visit like?

The first visit takes about one hour. We review your new patient information, take a detailed history, and perform an exam. Treatment may include soft tissue work, chiropractic adjustment when appropriate, and rehab depending on your condition. Home exercises may be provided with video guidance.

How long are follow-up visits?

Most follow-up visits are shorter than the first visit and are focused on your treatment plan, progress check, hands-on care, and rehab work that makes the most sense for your condition that day.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing that makes it easy to move. Athletic clothing is usually best, especially if we may be doing rehab exercises, mobility work, or movement testing.

Can I come in if I am in a lot of pain right now?

Yes. Many patients come in when symptoms are flared up. We will start with a history and exam, determine what is appropriate, and modify treatment based on how irritable the issue is.

Do I need a referral?

No, you can call or text our office to schedule an appointment. Some insurance plans may require a referral, and we can help you check that if needed.

Insurance + Fees

Insurance and Payment Questions

Do you accept insurance?

We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO. If you have a different form of insurance, we can provide the necessary documentation for you to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. You are responsible for all treatment charges that are not covered. We do accept HSA and FSA cards.

What if I do not have insurance?

If you do not have health insurance, or you have health insurance but wish to pay out of pocket, our practice offers a time-of-service discount. Our fees are straightforward, and we do not force lengthy treatment plans. We accept HSA and FSA cards. Please call or text the office to learn specifics concerning our fees: 331-472-4326.

Can I use an HSA or FSA card?

Yes. We accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible services.

Will you check my benefits?

We can help check benefits when appropriate, but insurance coverage is ultimately determined by your plan. We recommend contacting your insurance company directly if you want the most detailed explanation of your chiropractic benefits.

Treatment + Care

Treatment Questions

Do you only treat athletes?

No. We work with athletes, runners, active adults, students, weekend warriors, and people who simply want to move and feel better.

How many visits will it take to fix my issue?

Many straightforward issues improve within roughly four to eight visits, but every case is different. Some people need less care and some need more depending on the condition, irritability, goals, training demands, and how long the issue has been going on.

Do I have to get adjusted?

No. If you prefer not to be adjusted, we can focus on soft tissue treatment, rehabilitation, mobility work, and exercise-based care.

Do you take x-rays of every patient?

No. We do not take x-rays in our clinic. If your condition warrants x-rays based on the history and exam, we will refer you out.

Will I get exercises to do at home?

Yes. When appropriate, home exercises are provided to help reinforce what we do in the clinic. We use simple, practical exercises and video guidance so you know exactly what to do.
