Why Patients Choose Dr. Brian Damhoff

Raised with a strong appreciation for both athletics and science, Dr. Brian developed an early interest in movement, performance, and rehabilitation. As a former collegiate long jumper, he understands the physical and mental demands that athletes and active adults face when trying to train, recover, and stay consistent.

After earning his undergraduate degree in biology from Lewis University, he continued his education at Logan College of Chiropractic, where he completed both his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Master’s in Sports Rehabilitation. That combination helped shape his treatment style, blending chiropractic care with exercise-based rehab, movement analysis, soft tissue treatment, and performance-focused problem solving.

Dr. Brian’s clinical background includes interning with the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks chiropractor in 2013, previously working as the team chiropractor for Northern Illinois University’s track and field and cross country programs, and treating athletes ranging from middle school and high school athletes to college athletes and Olympians. In the office, he also works with many active adults who want to stay mobile, strong, and consistent without being limited by pain.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Brian has coached high school track and field since 2009. His coaching background includes working with 2025 Illinois state long jump champion Zoelen Terry and many all-state performers. That real-world coaching perspective gives him a practical understanding of training demands, return-to-sport decisions, and what athletes need to feel confident again.

At Elite Performance Institute, his goal is simple: provide clear, personalized care that helps people feel better, move better, and get back to what they enjoy. Whether the patient is a runner, field sport athlete, fitness-focused adult, student athlete, or someone simply trying to stay healthy and active, Dr. Brian builds treatment around function, resilience, and long-term progress.
