YCAN Food Truck Fest

Who: YCAN

What: Food Truck Fest!

Where: St. John’s Episcopal Church

When: May 16th 11am-4pm

Why: To support Loaves & Fishes Community Services

Imagine yourself on a beautiful Saturday afternoon eating a variety of tasty foods to satisfy your palate with a drink in your hand (could be beer, wine, water, pop whichever, you prefer) while listening to soothing live music a few feet away. Does this sound too good to be true? Well, it’s not!! On May 16th the Young Community Action Network (YCAN) is hosting their first Food Truck Festival at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Naperville from 11am-4pm! Are you thinking to yourself, I have kids, there’s no way that picture perfect scenario described above could ever come true. Well don’t worry, we will have entertainment for the kids including a face painter and games to keep them busy so you can relax! And, since we don’t believe in age discrimination, we will also have games for the adults to play! The live music will be provided by The Ecolimes from 11-2 and Joey J. Saye Music from 2-4.

There is no cost to attend the event. Although a donation of $5 or of a non-perishable food item is suggested. Funds raised at this city-like event will support Loaves & Fishes Community Services’ multi-faceted approach to ending hunger. Now for the good stuff, the food trucks! The food trucks that will be at the event include OMangoTaqueria Señor Taco, Chicago Dawg’s, Pizzeria NEO, and Sweet Ride. With this outstanding line-up of food trucks, you are sure to leave satisfied and full with whatever type of food your heart desires. As the co-chair of the Food Truck Fest, I give you my personal guarantee that the event will be a fun time! Planning this awesome event has admittingly been challenging at times but I’m looking forward to seeing all the work I put into this event result in an awesome day for everyone! I look forward to seeing you all there!
