Telehealth FAQ

Telehealth Services

How does telehealth work?
It is very similar to a regular office visit without the risk of transmitting COVID-19. It will be like face timing the doctor via an app that is fully HIPAA compliant and secure. The doctor will do a consultation, clinical assessment, diagnosis and provide homecare recommendations just like you would in the office. The doctor will also provide a home care plan of exercises and stretches for you.

What are the requirements on your end?
You must be an established patient of the practice, no new patients may participate in telehealth at this time. You must have the ability to download a phone app before your scheduled appointment and register so we can have a fully secure, HIPAA compliant video feed. You have to be in the state of Illinois for the telehealth visit. You must have an approximate 6×6 foot space. It would also be useful to have items such as exercise bands, swiss ball, resistance bands, some weights, etc but we can also develop a plan without those items.

Do you accept insurance?
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO and they do accept telehealth services. If you have a different form of insurance, we can provide the necessary documentation for you to bill them out-of-network. You are responsible for all treatment charges that are not covered. We do accept HSA/FSA cards.

What if I don’t have insurance?
If you do not have health insurance, or have health insurance but wish to pay out of pocket, our practice offers you a time of service discount. Our fees are very straightforward, we do not hide anything. We do accept HSA and FSA cards. Please contact the office and to learn specifics concerning our fees; 331-472-4326
