In this video, you will learn how to do a Bulgarian split squat with a hop by Dr. Brian Damhoff.
1. Start with the rear foot elevated on a box or a bench
2. Lower yourself by bending the front leg while keeping your chest tall
3. Once at the bottom, drive back up
4. Then instead of proceeding right into the next repetition like a normal Bulgarian split squat, you will hop on that front foot back towards the box and then hop back out and proceed into the next repetition
You will find this exercise to be tough unloaded but if you did want to increase the difficulty, you could easily do so by holding dumbbells.
