In this video, you will learn how to do the side plank with knee drive variation by Dr. Brian Damhoff.

1. Start in a side plank position with your body in a straight line and your elbow directly underneath your shoulder
2. While maintaining the side plank position, drive your top leg towards your chest in a controlled manner
3. Go as high as what is comfortable for you without compromising the side plank position

You can use your top arm for added support as I demonstrate. A cue I find useful is to think about bracing your core as you hold the side plank as if someone were going to punch you in the side. This will keep your form tight and not let your hips sag.
