The other error that is commonly made is that they are not loaded enough. It is important to pick a variation that is challenging and load it! Strength work for runners is meant to be build strength and power in the muscles. You gain the endurance aspect of the muscle by running so when you perform strength work, it is important to not replicate the same aspect so make sure you load the exercise properly!
