1. Lay flat on your back with your foot elevated
2. Pump your foot back and forth

You want your foot higher than your heart to promote venous return and a reduction in swelling. You can use anything you have at home to elevate the foot whether that’s a Swiss ball as we show here or a chair. As you pump, go with whatever range of motion is comfortable for you and don’t force the motion.
