TriggerPoint MB Vibe Overall Assessment

The TriggerPoint MB Vibe massage ball is a vibrating roller that has quickly become one of my go-to tools for recovery. The price point is very fair in my opinion, currently on Amazon at $89. I love how easy it is to throw into my bag to transport between the office and home. And, since the charge lasts 2 hours, I don’t have to transport the charger back and forth which is another big perk. I tried a couple of massage balls but found the material and build of this ball to be better than the others. As a distance runner, I mainly use the ball on my legs and hips. I find that it feels a lot better than my vibrating foam roller or massage gun on my calves and hamstrings and allows me to be pretty distinct on the area I want to work without being too much. I haven’t used it too much for the upper extremities but I found it hard to use against a wall say if you were trying to roll your midback. I think you’ll find a lacrosse ball or tennis ball to be a better option than this for the midback. I find that I roll at the first speed of 40 hertz or the second speed of 50 hertz and don’t really utilize the third speed of 65 hertz as it is just a little too much power for me. Overall, I think the TriggerPoint MB Vibe massage ball is a great investment, especially for runners!
